Attention all lovebirds in search of an unforgettable date night spot! Look no further than 6Head! Located at The Rocks, this hidden gem offers an exquisite 6-course tasting experience that is sure to impress. Prepare for a night filled with culinary delights and cherished moments.

When my partner surprised me with this incredible dining experience, I knew we were in for a treat. Let me walk you through the delectable courses we had the pleasure of savouring at 6 Head:


 

What did I have?




ON ARRIVAL:
Artisan Bread with Smoked Wagyu Butter

To kick off our gastronomic adventure, we were presented with artisan bread accompanied by smoked Wagyu butter. The combination of sesame-crusted Sonoma soy & linseed sourdough, in-house cultured butter, and lava salt created a tantalizing start to our meal.


MAIN COURSES:



We thoroughly enjoyed discovering these delectable dishes! The Wagyu Bresaola, expertly cured by the team at De Palma, was simply delightful. Plus, the pickled chilli added a nice touch of spice that made it even more memorable.



I recently tried the Burrata, which was expertly made by the talented team at Vannella. Alongside it was confit cherry tomatoes and homemade herb focaccia that was exceptional. The blend of flavours and textures was a remarkable showcase of culinary expertise.



We couldn't resist trying the Mayura Rump Tartare, and boy, were we glad we did! The free-range egg yolk, the variety of condiments, the house-made potato chips, and the fresh herbs created a flavour explosion that had us doing a happy dance.



But let's not forget about the star of the show—the 200g Tender Valley, Grain Fed 200 Days Fillet. Cooked to perfection, it was a carnivore's dream come true. Served with your choice of chips or salad and a selection of mouthwatering sauces, this dish was an absolute winner.



Oh, and the vegetarian option? It was a showstopper! The King Mushroom Vol-Au-Vent stole our hearts with its homemade vol-au-vent shell, creamy spinach, pea and Parmesan sauce, and scrumptious wholegrain mustard mash. The explosion of flavours and textures left us wanting more.



To wrap up our incredible culinary journey, we were treated to the Passionfruit & Yuzu Tart. This dessert was a perfect balance of tangy and sweet, with its shortcrust pastry, luscious passionfruit gel, zesty yuzu curd, heavenly Italian meringue, and refreshing berry sorbet. It was the cherry on top of an unforgettable meal.




DRINKS

To accompany our delectable meal, we enjoyed the refreshing and expertly crafted Blues Point cocktail. It featured Blue Alize, SKYY Vodka, Blue Curacao, Paraiso Lychee Liqueur, lychee sorbet, fresh lemon, and soda.


We also savoured the delightful Gilbert Family Wines Sauvignon Blanc, which perfectly complemented our dining experience.
